Experience the unique mountain landscape of the Kaunertal Glacier as a pedestrian

Even as a pedestrian you can comfortably experience and enjoy the summit world above 3,000 metres.

The Kaunertal Glacier Road – the only excursion road in Austria that is open all year round – leads visitors from the valley through a winter mountain landscape to the glacier centre at 2,750 metres. Once there, you can take the two gondola lifts to the Karlesjoch (3,108 metres) and the Falginjoch (3,113 metres) and float over the glacier world. On both mountain peaks you are on the Italian border and can enjoy a view of an untouched high mountain landscape.
